3 COYOTE POEMS

LOOKING OUT

Looking out
there is the line 
where the great grey
mass of the ocean 
meets the great
grey expanse of sky 
Let us dwell
here, a while. 



THE LINE

Going for a walk
with a line, 
stopping here
and there 
to see what is
to be seen. 
Such small
pleasures. 
Is this not
enough, asks
Coyote.  Is this
not enough
to heal?


THE LAST 

"And you O Lord
my God," wrote  
Charlie Baudelaire,
poet, disbeliever, pal,
mon frère, 
"grant me the grace
to write a few 
good lines, to prove
to me, myself, 
that I am not the last
(the least) of men,

    Beautiful poems. LOOKING OUT reminds Psalm 19 verses 1-6

    How clearly the sky reveals God's glory!/ How plainly it shows what he has done!/ Each day announces it to the following day;/each night rpeats it to the next. /No speech or words are used, no sound is heard; / yet their voice goes out to all the world / and is heard to the ends of the earth. / God made a home in the sky for the sun; / it comes out in the morning like a happy bridegroom, / like an athlete eager to run a race. / It starts at one end of the sky. /and goes across to the other. / Nothing can hide from its heat.
