PITTSBURG

It pains me particularly that a woman could reach the age of 97 and then be the victim of cold-blooded murder. Most of the other victims of the Pittsburg gunmen were also of respectable age, in the seventies and eighties--and that alone would have given pause. But to have lived on this earth for nearly 100 years, to have borne witness to all the suffering and needless, violent death in the course of the 20th century, and to then be subjected herself to that same senseless violence... it is beyond comprehension.

Such endless pain and suffering, we humans inflict upon each other...
