These things keep coming to me in the night...
I DON’T KNOW
I hear myself
say these words
a hundred times
a day, Coyote says:
I don’t know.
and when I get
tired of hearing
I don’t know,
I say, I have no
idea, or I don’t
have a clue, or
sometimes even
are you kidding
me or ask me
another. Coyote
marvels daily at
the vast universe
of his not-knowing.
And even then
knows not enough
to know how much
he does not know.
LICKETY SPIT
There are times
when Turtle envies
Coyote his dexterity,
licking himself clean
all over, head to toe,
even cock and balls
and asshole. Which
evidently Turtle
finds himself ill-
disposed to do.
RUN, RUN
Times are
Coyote desires
nothing more
than to run,
run, run away,
to borrow words
from David
Byrne of the
Talking Heads.

I am enjoying your Coyote. Turtle is an intriguing fellow too, contemplative, but stuck with his lack of agility. Lickity has the amusing air of Alice in Wonderland.
Is Coyote a mind wanderer/wonderer?
Really like todays 8/9.
