ENTITLEMENT

A thought for a Monday morning...

In this country, there's a lot of talk about "rights."  But it's interesting, isn't it, that those who are the most deeply offended by the "entitlements" of others are precisely those who are the most aggrieved and aggressive when it comes to their own?

(On the one hand, I think of things like medical care, food and shelter, education, and freedom from poverty.  You know, the basics of human dignity.  And on the other, I think of freedom from "big government," from financial regulations,  the "right to bear arms"... And so on.)
