Lies, friends,
are the new

truth, no doubt
about it. Was

a time it was
shameful to be

caught in one.
Now, blame those

who question it
with indignation

hot enough, you
are applauded  for

your authenticity.
This, it seems,

is "character."
We bow down

before it; praise
the performer;

tune in the show,
tune out all

honesty and reason.
This is the truth.

The shame's on us.
