Last week was a bit of a bad luck week, with a
crashed laptop and then, Friday, unexpectedly, a crashed camera. Pressed on/off button, wouldn't turn on. Dead. So we made the obligatory stop at Target and invested in a new one, still point-and-shoot, but with a better zoom. Here's some early results:

Bird on a wire...

You know who...

Sunset from our balcony...

... and moonlight with eucalyptus, also from our balcony. Not bad, eh?

Nice photos. So what kid of camera did you get? I have one that is basically oint and shoot - it has some options, but I usually just go with the automatic. But it takes some good pictures. Even the moon in my banner came from that camera.
Those are wonderful photos, Peter. I love them all. Isn't a new camera a wonderful thing? The telephoto capabilities are getting better and better. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
Thanks to both for the compliments!
Robin, yes, it's wonderful to have this new toy! I only hope that I can aspire to taking pictures one-half as wonderful as yours!
Citizen, it's a Canon Powershot A720. That's a great shot of the moon! By the way, you' ll find an acknowledgement on today's The Buddha Diaries.
